We’ve got an energy revolution taking place in this country, but can we keep it going – and even better, can we increase it?
These and more will be the focus of the State of American Energy event on Tuesday from Washington D.C. You can watch the event live here beginning at 12:15 p.m. Eastern. Join in the conversation on Twitter using the hashtag #SOAE2015.
Energy policy is critical as the U.S. considers a number of issues springing from the gains in domestic production in 2014 – gains that have the U.S. producing oil and levels not seen in two decades and natural gas output that is benefiting consumers and revitalizing American manufacturing.
Policy will help determine whether domestic oil and natural gas production will keep increasing and whether safe and responsible hydraulic fracturing and horizontal drilling – the chief driver of the energy revolution – goes forward. Policy is fundamental to whether the U.S. will be able to act like an energy superpower in the world, by exporting natural gas and crude oil to allies abroad. It’s also integral to a true all-of-the-above energy approach that is the best way to secure America’s energy future.
As official Washington – including a new Congress – gets back to work, API President and CEO Jack Gerard’s State of American Energy remarks will help frame the policy landscape in the coming weeks and months. Join us.
