EnergyTomorrow Radio: Episode 80 - American Clean Energy and Security Act

In case you haven't noticed the links on the left sidebar of this blog, I want to call your attention to EnergyTomorrow Radio (ETR)--our biweekly podcast that addresses everything energy. Since ETR began in 2007, I've interviewed a variety of energy experts on issues ranging from untapped U.S. resources, to Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel, to energy policy under a new administration.

Some of our past guests have included:

  • Ben Stein, economist, author and comedian
  • Robert Shapiro, principal of SONECON and former Undersecretary of Commerce under President Bill Clinton
  • James Hackett, president and CEO of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation
  • Gary Luquette, president of Chevron North America Exploration and Production Company

In our latest episode, Nick Loris, research assistant and The Foundry blog contributor, and Ben Lieberman, senior policy analyst from The Heritage Foundation, talk about the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009 (ACES), which is being considered by Congress. Among other things, Loris and Lieberman explain the bill's potential costs to consumers.

We've been told by ETR listeners that we're providing information that they haven't heard anywhere else. I encourage you to tune in regularly. For an archive of all episodes, visit the Resource Center of our Web site (at the top of the homepage), check out the ETR widget on our homepage--which you can easily share and embed--or subscribe to our RSS feed.

Happy listening!
