Blogger Conference Call: “Industrial Perspectives on Offshore Drilling”

Summary:
On Feb. 27, 2009, API hosted several bloggers for a conference call featuring a discussion with Gary Luquette, president of Chevron North America Exploration and Production Company. On Feb. 25, Mr. Luquette testified before the House Natural Resources Committee on offshore drilling.

The call was hosted by Jane Van Ryan of API and also featured John Felmy, chief economist at API, and Mark Kibbe, federal relations director at API. Ten bloggers dialed-in for the 45-minute call, which touched a variety of topics, including recent proposals to increase taxes on the industry and the Feb. 25 congressional hearing on offshore drilling.
